Together We Can Move Mountains
Who We Are
1111 Ministries is a local 501c3 organization founded in 2004 after the death of our youngest brother Philip Tinnin. We witnessed how the Lord took a terrible situation and turned it around for His Glory. He gave us the name eleven eleven and we purposefully do not capitalize the initials in our logo as a way to give honor to the name of Jesus. He told us in 2004 that the number “1” is a universal number that can be recognized anywhere in the world. He also said the stripes Jesus took for our salvation looked like these 1’s only His were filled with his blood.
The 1’s are a reminder whenever we see them of what Jesus did so that we could have a relationship with the Father. We believe that when Jesus came down from the Cross it was finished and by His Stripes (the 1’s), we were healed so we are healed. Healing comes in many forms to include physical, emotional and psychological. His blood covers them all.
We are called to be the liaison within the Route 1 corridor of Alexandria, Virginia’s 22309/06 zip code. From the moment we started our work in 2004, we understood that by working together as One Community we could accomplish so much more. Our strength lies not only in our trust in God, but most importantly channeling that trust into actions that align with our initiatives. 1111 Ministries embodies the commitment to community through intentional action and programs that are inspired to create a holistic and positive change to stabilize communities and develop an enriched quality of life for all.
